2GT1 panels

The project of the class of 2GT1 of the high school les pannevelles began in September 2021. The objective of this project was to study the presence of microplastics in the Seine, at the level of Nogent sur Seine, then to be interested in the filtering of these microplastics in water and finally in their reduction upstream.

 

To do this, these students first took water samples from the Seine that they sent to the University of Bayonne to have their samples analyzed. Once the high presence of microplastic was revealed, they set about creating a filter based on water bottles to see if it was possible to reduce the presence of microplastics by such methods.

 

This project has the ambition to last three years, with the arrival of a STI2D class next year and with many local partners: clubs of Nogent-sur-Seine, but also international: an Austrian school of Güssing and English-speaking scientists.
